MayhemLab product & compliance review

A concise description of the current desktop prototype, intended player value, user flow, data sources, production architecture, and competitive-integrity limits for Riot Developer Relations.

Functional Windows prototype

Product summary

MayhemLab is a Windows desktop League of Legends companion focused on personal training, self match-history review, aggregate personal statistics, mode-specific progression, build/reference access, and session organization.

Current release

MayhemLab Desktop v2.5.1 is a source-based Windows player preview available on this site. HQ connectivity and Discord submissions have been tested by the developer; public community access is limited during the preview. Community submissions are opt-in and not Riot-verified; no production Riot API credential is embedded in this download.

Player value

The product helps players track growth and identify personal patterns such as role comfort, champion performance, ranked consistency, win/loss differences, session form, records, and changes across patches.

Target platform

Planned production Riot API use

Requests requiring the Production API key will be made by a secured MayhemLab backend over HTTPS. The key will not be included in distributed desktop code.

Competitive integrity

Boundaries are part of the product design.

MayhemLab is intended to help players learn from their own history while preserving player choice.

MayhemLab does

✓
Analyze the user's own match historyPersonal aggregate statistics, trends, role performance, champion history, records, and post-match review.
✓
Highlight multiple relevant choicesStatic/reference tools and personal context are presented without automating gameplay decisions.
✓
Use placement-native Arena metricsAverage placement and personal champion/duo history instead of normal W/L framing.

MayhemLab does not

×
No hidden opponent scoutingNo game-session-specific history that exposes information a player would not normally know.
×
No alternative MMR/ELOMayhemLab does not attempt to replace Riot's official ranked ladder with a private skill rating.
×
No Arena item/augment win ratesThe product does not publish prohibited win-rate analysis for Arena items or augments.

API security architecture

  • No Production API key in the desktop binary.
  • Production-key calls are intended to originate from a secured server.
  • HTTPS for server-to-Riot API traffic.
  • Rate-limit handling and caching planned at the service layer.
  • One registered product per Production key.

Privacy approach

  • Current desktop history is local-first.
  • No MayhemLab account is required by the preview.
  • No Riot password is requested by MayhemLab.
  • Optional Discord HQ pairing and sharing are documented in the current Privacy Policy; further account/RSO/cloud features require separate policy updates.
  • Full Privacy Policy
